Celebrate love
- By Vishal Suraj
The aim is to feel stronger and closer as a couple. For this one needs to realise that little steps go a long way.

Every action you do will be remembered and every word you speak will affect your partner in more ways than you can think of.We long to celebrate love because we feel that in many ways love completes and fulfils us.
  • Try to make this as habit and make positive comments about the way they look. Alternatively, you can always try to identify what matters most to your partner, maybe ask how a project has turned out, or an interaction with the co-workers,habitsetc. Brag about each other! Let one another know they are appreciated. These things really do make a person's day!
  • Watch an old movie that you watched and enjoyed years ago. Reminisce about that time in your life.
  • Together, tell stories about your childhood and question them about theirs. Childhood stories usually will help you connect at a deeper level. Listen to songs that bring back happy memories and talk about them.
  • Pull out old pictures and look at them together. This way you will get to shed your shyness and be more comfortable.
  • If you both are working, then try to use the same means of transport. Make it a ritual to call up and speak about things. If at all you have different work timings, try to leave small notes and messages.
  • Letyour partner "Overhear" you praising them. This works wonders, but has to be used infrequently, and with extreme caution. It's much better, and safer, to ACTUALLY praise about your partner to others, and occasionallythey'll be nearby when you do so, and overhear it. This technique actually works if you do it outright, too, as long as you don't overdo it. That is, you can flat out say to someone "My husband is great, he does. For me," with him sitting beside you, and it will make him feel like you respect and admire him.
